Olivia Pratt and Joe Moore won the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K Sunday in Chicago.

Pratt, a member of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project, set a team record with her 26:26 win. She won by 11 seconds over Molly Bookmyer.

Finishing eighth was Deena Kastor. The 46-year-old American record holder in the marathon ran 27:12, an American masters record for the 45-49 age group.

Moore won the men's race in 23:18, an improvement over his 23:49 result last year when he finished sixth.

Los Angeles Marathon

Elisho Barno of Kenya and Askale Merachi of Ethiopia won the Los Angeles Marathon.

Barno crossed the line in 2:11:46, seven seconds ahead of fellow Kenyan John Korir. Barno previously finished fourth in January's Chevron Houston Marathon, running 2:10:54. Juan Luis Barrios of Mexico finished third in 2:12:00.

Tyler McCandless was the top American finisher in the race, finishing 11th in 2:14:57.

Merachi won decisively over Kenya's Cynthia Jerop, who was second in 2:25:55. Lindsey Anderson, the top American woman, used a strong second half to place sixth in a personal-best 2:34:45.

The Los Angeles Marathon does not count toward the 2020 Olympic marathon standard.

Stramilano Half Marathon

Priscah Jeptoo and Vincent Rerimoi, both of Kenya, won the Stramilano Half Marathon Sunday in Milan, Italy.

RESULTS

For Jeptoo, it was her first return to racing since taking a two-year maternity break. Her last race was a fourth place finish at the 2016 Amsterdam Marathon, where she ran 2:25:57. Jeptoo earned silver medals in the marathon at the 2011 IAAF World Outdoor Championships and the 2012 Olympics.

Jeptoo's winning time of 1:08:26, easily outdistanced Meseret Meleka of Ethiopia, who finished second in 1:10:39.

In the men's race, Rerimoi won by 22 seconds over Kenyan steeplechaser Jairus Birech in his half marathon debut. Rerimoi crossed the finish line in 1:00:10.

Tsehay Gebre Getiso and Asnake Dubre Negawo, both of Ethiopia, broke the course records at the Wuxi Marathon, an IAAF Bronze Label race in China.
